Position on the Digital Age
I am interested in discussing the fact that individuals have studied and make the argument that the Digital Age is dumbing us down and making us stupid. Meanwhile, there are others who strongly disagree. There are advantages and disadvantages to the digital world. The opinion on the population becoming dumber and vise versa I feel depends on the generation and the personal experiences of the indvidual.

I am an individual who came to technology as it began its big boom! I took computer science my sophmore year in high school, but I still cannot write the programs. None the less, I believe that we are encouraging studpidy in a way. For instance, the cell phone. I don't memorize phone numbers any more because they are programmed into my BlackBerry. Now I have been victim to my previous phones getting broken and losing all of the information stored --- which is why I pay $2.99 a month for back-up assistance.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because I believe we are all a victim of that same situation. The thing is we have to be better at doing things on our own sometimes instead of always thinking of the convenient side of things. I believe that we as individuals look at life and wish we had an easy button for everything.(lol)However, life isn't always a bowl of cherries and we must do things and think more on our own.
